Huntley and Palmers Biscuit Tin Simulated Straw Handbag 1901-2
Huntley and Palmers novelty biscuit tin in the form of a simulated straw handbag produced in 1901 and 1902 is for sale. This Huntley and Palmers biscuit tin has the original cardboard handle and clasp fastening. This tin was one of the first of this kind to be produced. Later versions of handbags had tin handles in comparison to this tin's handle which is made out of cardboard. The biscuit tin has a hinged lid with clasp. Though there is wear to the clasp, it is still present and the biscuit tin still opens and closes firmly. The condition of this Huntley and Palmers novelty biscuit tin is Very Good with general wear, rubbing and blackening, but complete and still highly attractive and desirable. This tin measures 7.00 approx in length x 3.00 inches in height x 3.00 inches (approx.) in width.
