Head of An American Indian Chief by Maison Fondee
This is a large and impressive die-cut French promotional label in the form of a head of a Native American Chief for sale. The reverse of this Native American Chief reads: “Maison Fondee En 1924” and measures an impressive 7.00 x 4.00 inches (approximately).
The reverse of this vintage French label reads:
“grand specialiste de la mesure industrielle” which translated into English from French reads:
“great specialist in industrial measurement”
“hommes dames et garconnets” which translated reads:
“men, ladies and boys”
The necklace of the Native Indian reads: "Caughnawaga Quebec"
The address to the reverse of this vintage label is Nancy, which is a riverfront city in the north eastern French region of Grand Est.
It appears that this label was produced in the early to mid-twentieth century by a French clothing company in Nancy France.
This very a very attractive, clean and unusual illustration that is in Near Mint condition with slight age toning to the reverse.
