Kate Greenaway A Day in a Child’s Life is for sale from The First Edition. Kate Greenaway A Day in a Child’s Life is the first edition, fourth issue of the classic Victorian children’s illustrated book, and conforms to the description given by Schuster & Engen in their book: 'Printed Kate Greenaway A Catalogue Raisonné' (1986).


Kate Greenaway’s A Day in a Child’s Life has the publisher's original grey glazed bevelled pictorial boards, with the front board featuring an illustration to the centre of two young girls sitting together on a log surrounded by a posy of flowers.  The illustration is surrounded by a lattice border.  
The back board has the same design.  The boards are lightly worn and rubbed; the internal hinges are broken (but pages still bound in) and comes complete with the original green cloth spine which is worn and slightly marked, but complete.


The pages are packed with colour illustrations by Kate Greenaway. The blank front free endpaper bears a vertical crease, the blank white preliminary page is browned, only very light ageing here and there. Overall the condition of the pages are Very Good
