“This Edition on handmade paper is limited to 1000 copies for the United Kingdom and America.”
This is the first collected edition of the works of Oscar Wilde.
The front board has three gilt roundels, one of which is a bird flying through the bars of a prison cell, with the title and author’s name also in gilt; the spine also has the title and author’s name in gilt. The binding is in Very Good condition being attractive but with discolouration to the spine and dust staining to the front board, back board and spine.
There are 343 numbered pages, top edge gilt and the remaining pages untrimmed as called for. The pages are in overall Very Good condition being clean but with an attractive illustrated bookplate to the front pastedown, and age toning to the blank rear endpapers.This is a highly collectable and very scarce Oscar Wilde limited edition book.
