P.G. Wodehouse Ring For Jeeves first edition with its original dust jacket is for sale. This P.G. Wodehouse book is the first edition of Ring For Jeeves, published by Herbert Jenkins on 22 April 1953. This book measures 5 x 7½ inches (approximately).
The dust jacket has an illustration by Sax to the front and reviews to P.G. Wodehouse books Pigs Have Wings, Barmy In Wonderland, The Old Reliable, Nothing Serious, and Uncle Dynamite. The dust jacket is in Good condition being mostly complete but with losses to the top and bottom of the spine, creases and tape reinforcement to the reverse of the dust jacket.
The red binding has black lettering to the spine and is in Very Good condition with only extremely light wear to the edges of the binding.
There are 221 numbered pages with the Copyright Page stating: “First Published by Herbert Jenkins Ltd, 3 Duke of York Street, London S.W.1 1953”. The pages are in Very Good condition being tightly bound-in, with no inscription but with a very small bookseller’s label to the rear pastedown.
This P.G. Wodehouse book completely corresponds with McIlvaine A74a.
