P.G. Wodehouse The Clicking of Cuthbert circa 1923
P.G. Wodehouse early book The Clicking of Cuthbert is for sale. This book conforms to “P.G. Wodehouse A Comprehensive Bibliography” by Eileen McIlvaine (A27a) that states: “4. Reissued [1923?] 256pp. 12.7 x 19 cm (5 x 7½). Copyright page: Printed in Great Britain at the Athenaeum Printing Works, Redhill. Pea-green cover, darker green lettering, same drawing as first. p: 12 titles ending Ukridge.” The printer’s imprint in this book is located to the bottom of the page with the Herbert Jenkins logo that is opposite the Dedication page.
The original green binding is in Near Fine condition with slight knocking to the top and bottom of the spine, and very slight corner knocks. But this book’s binding is still incredibly clean and very attractive.
There are 256 numbered pages that are in overall Very Good condition with age toning to the front and rear endpapers, and age toning to the edges of the pages that are mainly noticeable when the book is closed.
This is a highly scarce and very collectable early P.G. Wodehouse title.
