£85.00Price

Fourteen Songs From When We Were Very Young songbook, fifth edition dating from 1925 as per the Copyright Page, is for sale. When We Were Very Young was the first Winnie the Pooh book written by A.A. Milne for his son Christopher Robin. This children’s illustrated songbook puts the poems in this first book to music and has the wonderful illustrations from the original book by E.H. Shepard. This book was published by Methuen & Co Ltd in London and measures 9.75 x 12.00 inches (approximately).

The original binding is in Very Good condition bearing the original label with illustration, but with light marks and wear, and the front board being slightly sprung.

There are 34 numbered pages packed with great Winnie the Pooh original illustrations, that are in overall Very Good + condition being extremely clean and tightly bound-in but with a contemporary inscription in pencil to the front free endpaper, age toning to the front free endpaper and rear endpaper, and very light age toning throughout that is barely noticeable.

This is a very collectable children’s illustrated book, and a rare early Winnie the Pooh book taken from the first book in the series.
